Our story begins in Sri Lanka
King Coconut — or Thambili as the locals call it — is indigenous to the island nation of Sri Lanka. Often referred to as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, the country is blessed with a rich biodiversity and has been using King Coconut as a natural hydrator for centuries.
King coconuts are a bright orange variety of coconuts which are endemic to Sri Lanka, grown abundantly throughout the coastal belt of the country with little or no human intervention. The water, largely used for beverages, is a favorite of locals and tourists alike for its nutritional content, refreshing qualities and sweet taste. Today Thambili is a symbol of the islands unique culture and cuisine.
Therefore, Koconut Water was created to provide the same highly nutritious, refreshing and naturally hydrating qualities found in Sri Lankan king coconuts to a worldwide audience. We strive to provide only the best quality, most authentic, and tastiest King Coconut water, as if you were drinking directly from the orange coconut found on the Sri Lankan streets.
